I’ve had this shirt idea in my head for a while, and with the Michigan Burlesque Festival coming up, I thought now would be a good time to finally make it. If you want one, preorder it now! Order it by Thursday the 28th and it’ll be cheaper, because you’ll be doing me a favor by helping me estimate how many I need of each size. They’ll ship in September.
WIP of one of my Monster Anthology stories (which you can preorder now!) I can’t get enough of drawing this guy. His name is Arthur, he just found a wallet on the sidewalk, and the devil and angel on his shoulder have decided they have better things to do than argue over his soul. This story will be in the NSFW edition.
Two new updates from me on Filthy Figments to share. As usual, very very very NSFW links.
In Eat Me, will Rhonda sacrifice her life to save a world that might not exist, or can Lola nurse her back to health in time? The penultimate chapter in the series! (Also, I’m really happy with the cover background of the infinite pills; might have to make that into fabric.)
In The Lady Eudora Henley, the competition continues, and girls are starting to get eliminated. Will our narrator be among them? It was hard to find anything remotely SFW in this update to use as a preview.
Plus, we have a bunch of cool new artists on Filthy Figments in the past month, bringing lots of sexy sexy work, and I have a hot tip that some even more cool sexy ladies will be joining us very soon. There’s never been a better time to get in on this.
When Anna’s sister Kat is murdered, Kat’s ghost can’t move on, and shares Anna’s body for most of the time, but sometimes she likes to pop out to have a face to face chat. Anna is used to sharing close quarters with her sister, from the time they were kids living under a sink to their cramped little apartment on the circus train, but this might be a little more than Anna is comfortable with.
From the next comic I’m working on, which will happen once the patreon gets to that level, so if you like supernatural murder mysteries with spunky circus ladies and ghosts and mutants and you have $1 you’re not doing anything with, consider backing this.
I honestly don’t understand artists who give all their characters the same face and body. This is the most fun thing. Diversity is fun and cool to make and read!
So, if my Patreon gets up to $1500, I debut a second regular webcomic. I’ve been working on these characters since 2011, and I’ve finally figured out enough of this story to actually work on it as a comic (instead of the novel I got 50,000 words into before I decided it’d work better as a comic). I’ve also more or less figured out how I want to draw everybody.
The story is about Anna, a fortune teller with the Samson Brothers Circus, trying to figure out who murdered her knife-throwing twin sister, Kat, whose ghost is restless. Soon after the murder, other members of the circus, all of whom are suspects, begin developing strange mutations, which ringmaster and circus owner Jebediah Tetanus is all too happy about. It takes place in a loose version of post Civil War America as the circus train traverses the country. It’s not steampunk, though there are some anachronisms. (No goggles and no airships, gears on trains not hats.) It’ll be for an audience of teen and up, mostly for violence. It is a supernatural murder mystery, after all.
I just hit 20,000 followers. If 8% of you gave me $1, the goal would be met and you would get to read this series. That’s entirely do-able. So consider checking out my Patreon!
Gonna keep a tally of messages I get from a) white feminists completely proving my point and b) people who think this comic proves feminism is worthless because I criticized one part of it. (Even despite me writing these words underneath the comic.) Then I’ll add them all up, see which column has more, and then drink myself to sleep either way.
Haha… this is why we can’t have nice things.
