So, um, I accidentally started a new series. I really didn’t mean to! I was just drawing a few pin-ups in the style of these that I did a little bit ago, and I realized they kind of had a story to them if I tweaked them a bit. And I like drawing things better if they have stories. So it turned into an illustrated story series, not quite a new comic series. Which means it doesn’t take all that long to draw compared to comics, so really this isn’t that bad.

I realized that most of the adult material I draw has a bit of a silly streak to it, and I wanted to draw something that isn’t silly, and is downright blazing hot and completely erotic and filthy. Silly porn is fun, but I think a variety of things is good.

It’s set in Victorian times, both because it gives me an excuse to draw lots of corsets and use old-fashioned sexual slang, but because Aubrey Beardsley is an artistic hero of mine, and he did a lot of sexy drawings. It has lots of BDSM themes, and some of the damn prettiest art I’ve ever created. Enjoy.

The story of Pearl the mermaid, who has only heard of vaginas in legends, and thinks they sound amazing. After encountering a naked girl on the beach, she becomes determined to get one herself.

It’s both silly and sexy, the best combination as far as I’m concerned. There are lots of different body shapes on all the characters, and everyone in it is very happy to be having all this sex.

It’s $25 for the “original style” which is in sepia with rosy accents, but you can also get it in greyscale for $20. There are 148 pages in the comic which ran on Filthy Figments. It is the most beautiful book I have put together so far.

My friend Brian once asked me why none of my Lesbian Pirates had hooks hands. I said hook hands and lesbians don’t really go together. (I drew Peg Leg Polly for him, though.) This year, I rolled out not one, but two lesbian characters who are pirates with both hands replaced by hooks. Man, I better cut it out before I get typecast.

Already I am finding challenging things to draw, without the ability to take any reference photos. Like how does this character put on her underpants?
