I don’t make stuff just for cis women’s liberation.
I was looking through my old pics, and I found this. I do not even remember putting this on my computer.
This is amazing. Did you make this?
I am super sick today, and I took some cold medicine, and I just… I found myself doing this for over five straight minutes:
Like, I have always loved my nose, but today it’s just amazing. It’s even sharper than I remembered and I was like “I should memorize my own nose. I don’t know the back of my own hand really well. Am I supposed to know the back of my hand really well? Do other people know the backs of their hands really fucking well and I am the weirdo for whom ‘I know him like the back of my hand’ means I don’t know him very well? At least I can know my own nose. And then I will say ‘I know him like the shape of my nose.’ Whoa, I just realized why robotripping is a thing.”
And then when I was trying to make the above gif to show you, I messed up some settings but I made a gif that EXACTLY illustrates how I feel right now.
I see this all the time in fanart and I don’t get it. More power to people stylizing, but sometimes it gets a little ridiculous.
Everyone has a cold now
i am so guilty of this
clearly those colored troll noses people draw spread beyond homestuck
hahaha god i hate this
I feel like this is such a lazy affect to give a drawing. It’s like all the cracks and lines Liefeld puts all over everything, as if the drawing can’t be done as it is. Whose nose does this, unless it’s freezing weather?
Differently-colored noses are preferable if you’re drawing in a goofy cartoony style where the nose is clearly a separate element from the rest of the face:
Muppets with same-color noses always look kind of weird:
Though once the nose doesn’t look like it can be colored with the paint bucket tool, it looks good as the same color:
Maybe it’s because I *do* always have bad allergies and therefore a perpetually red nose, but I like my colorful noses! It also draw attention to them, and I like drawing attention to noses and emphasizing them. It makes them a little more silly and cartooney, adds some colors to the face. And fuck it, I like doing it that way and don’t really have to justify it to anyone.
(I hope you see this as the silly answer it is.)
