Tom navigates the minefield that is talking to your current girlfriend about sex with an ex in today’s Meaty Yogurt. This webcomic updates every Monday. There are 184 pages. Read it from the beginning here.
Doodled these lovely ladies in my media studies class today. Had to draw them from memory so they don’t look exactly like they do in the webcomic :/
I love them so much!
Meaty Yogurt is beginning a new chapter today entitled “After School Special.” It will update every Monday for the foreseeable future. Click the link to see the whole page.
Meaty Yogurt book 1 goes to the printers this week. Just finished it all today. I did it before the YU+ME books because 1: it needed way less work to finish, and 2: because I will use the print run of Meaty Yogurt as a test to see how this even larger YU+ME project is going to go. Sign up to get notified when the books are available for sale here. I’m also gonna do ebooks.
Also, today I started working on making Meaty Yogurt a regularly updating webcomic again. I figured what with starting book 2, it would be a good time to change my approach to things. When writing the script for this book, I wrote more of a webcomic script, where each page makes sense on its own, and all the pages come together to form a bigger picture.
It’s going to update every Monday, and hopefully I’ll be able to add a second update day once I build my momentum again.
Can you believe that five years ago, I was updating YU+ME and Lesbian Pirates regularly and at the same time, putting up 6-7 pages per week! The fact that I’m not even doing one is just weird to me. I miss the old routine.
I finished the inside of Meaty Yogurt book one and found I had one extra page that needed to be filled, so I decided to draw a scene that happens often in the comic but is never really shown. Saffron loves making clothes, and Jackie loves getting new clothes, so this is something the two of them do for fun often. Saffron’s sewing room, like any sewing room, is too cluttered for her to remember where she put Jackie’s measurements, so she has to do this every time they start a project. And of course Jackie soon tires of her new outfits and wants different ones a couple weeks later. But she pays for all the materials and doesn’t bug Saffron when it takes two months for Saffron to finish putting the sleeves on a shirt. Well, only a little. Saffron made the skirt she’s wearing but the sweater came from a thrift store. Jackie got her underwear on sale for a steal.
This will probably be the cover for Meaty Yogurt book 1. I am so happy with it. Saffron especially turned out looking so damn cool. Like, I think she is too cool to be friends with me.
5 pages of Meaty Yogurt went up today. That’s the end of volume 1! This is where things take a turn sideways.
Starting with volume 2, I’m going to attempt to go back to updating it with a couple pages a week. I miss having a regular schedule. I’ve written the script for the new couple chapters with this in mind. I hope to start doing this in the spring.
