What the future brings

So, a lot of you already know some of this, but I wanted to collect it for everyone to see. Here’s what I’m going to be doing (and when) post-YU+ME.

The YU+ME “Cookbook”, and books 4-6 are coming very soon. The cookbook, for those who haven’t heard, is going to be an entire book filled with new art, and the methods I used to make each piece. It’ll go over every style I used in YU+ME, much like a recipe in a cookbook.

Lesbian Pirates will go to a Monday Thursday schedule for a while. If that works out, I’ll bump it back up to MWF. The current arc will end this summer, and I’ll immediately start a new one. The third arc might end up being the final one unless I get some new ideas.

Filthy Figments I’ll be drawing dirty comics for Filthy Figments, a porn comic site created by Gina Biggs of Red String. I’ll be doing some wonderful dirty lesbian comics, probably involving mermaids. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but I also have…

Meaty Yogurt (once known as “Mediocre”) will be my next series. I was going to start it in January, but I’m moving it up to autumn 2010. Fans of YU+ME will probably like it, because it’s part slice-of-life, part mind-fuck. It’ll be my first big webcomic series that isn’t centered around a gay person, though there are still gay people in it.

I’m also working on some short stories. I want to write three more shorts in the same vein as Le Jardin and collect them into a book. I also want to get a few more prose pieces knocked out. Maybe try and actually finish a novella.

Oh! One of my stories is being published in a Best Lesbian Fiction anthology! That’s pretty neat.

I will also be trying to put together a short Lesbian Pirates cartoon that I can shop around to some television networks. Here’s hoping it works out, but even if it doesn’t, it’ll be great practice for my animation skills, and something fun to post on the website.

So obviously, I’m going to be very busy. Follow me here, or on Twitter, or just check in from time to time to see what’s happening.

Stay in the loop about my future projects. This mailing list will be used only to let you know when I start a new project, or if a new book is out.
