I made this for Fluevog Shoe’s current design contest. If I win, I get $1,000 worth of their shoes. And I really want to win. I really, really want you to vote for my entry.

Actually, that’s not quite right. I want you to want to vote for my entry. I do feel bad, sometimes, when I see contests where there is an entrant who is clearly vastly more popular than their fellow contestants. That isn’t to cast shame on those who use their clout to get votes. Most people are not popular for no reason, and much clout is earned through consistently hard, good work. But that doesn’t mean they’re the best at everything they do and every contest they enter.

I want to win this contest, and I want to know I won because my entry was good. I mean, *I* like it. I’m really proud of it. I think the art is great and the concept is fun, and I hope you agree. But you might not, in which case, you should vote for a different one.

The great thing about this stage is that you can vote for as many entries as you want and here they all are. If you like nine of them, you can vote for nine of them. Or none, because you think we all stink. I’m cool with that.

So, yeah, there’s a contest, I’m in it, I hope you vote for me, but only if you like it.
