My mom has started making merkins.
We compared merkin-making notes today. I feel like we should team up and make an erotic Etsy store and we’ll never have to work again.
True story: years ago, I was writing a screenplay with a friend about Abe Lincoln fighting vampires when they announced the Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter movie that is coming out soon. I was bitter for a while, but decided the idea is just so rocktastic that I’m just glad SOMEBODY made it and instead I will write a movie about Benjamin Franklinstein.

I just got an email asking if I’d like to pay $50 to put my work in a publication and I’m so glad that I’ve gained the skills and knowledge to know that publications should be paying me to include my stuff.
Remember, everybody, publishers pay YOU, not the other way around. You don’t need “exposure” like that.
